The Kings River area is white water rafting country!!!

These areas have been my stomping grounds for 21 years.  As I mentioned, this area is just as beautiful as Yosemite!! (except Yosemite Valley), and frequently less crowded.

You'll notice I didn't mark Pine Flat or Millerton.  These are foothill lakes, and although very nice, they are full of speedboaters, water skiers, car campers and day-trippers.  These lakes are not considered part of the wilderness. Average altitude is about 1,500 ft.
